Our scope included the installation of pre-boarded external frames, non-boarded internal frames, concrete floors, and a concrete roof.
Unlike typical projects for Metek, this structure was built around reinforced concrete (RC) stair and lift cores, requiring meticulous planning to ensure secure integration with these elements.
Additionally, the complexity of the design resulted in a higher-than usual percentage of hot-rolled steel (HRS) within the structure.
Our in-house engineering team played a crucial role in refining the full structural design, leveraging their expertise to optimise efficiency and precision.
Utilising Revit models and detailed drawings, we facilitated seamless production of the frames and sections needed for construction.
Construction Details
Metek successfully guided the project through the remaining RIBA stages, leading to an efficient site start in October 2023.
The strong partnership established with the client not only streamlined the construction process but also facilitated a follow-on scheme running concurrently, ensuring continuity in design, improved efficiency, and the seamless transfer of lessons learned from one project to the next.
